Jill Slamon is an assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology at the Vanderbilt School of Medicine and the founding assistant program director of the Vanderbilt University Master of Genetic Counseling Program. Jill has 15 years of clinical experience in prenatal and fertility genetic counseling. Her research interests focus on topics ranging from genetic counseling education and training, genetic counseling outcome measures, patient-reported outcome measures, and experiences of queer patients seeking fertility and prenatal care. Jill serves on the Board of Directors for the Genetic Counselor Educators Association (GCEA) and co-chairs the Education Subcommittee. She also serves on the advisory board for the University of Kansas Master of Genetic Counseling Program.
Jill earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from National Louis University and a Master of Science in genetic counseling from Northwestern University.
